So, I'm looking for appropriate host upper receivers. I'm leaning a towards 16" midlength, but carbine or rifle would also likely work.

I'm looking to change out the stocks on a AR-556 (the 8500) with the old style A2 hardware. I can find plenty of rear stocks but I can't find the shorter triangular hand guards.
