WebGoing from 6.35mm to 3.5mm via cables should work fine, as long as the connections match along the change. Using those speakers, you are entirely defeating the purpose of balanced outputs. For those speakers, you should find something that splits the headphone monitor output from the front (1/4" TRS) output of the 2i2 to 3.5mm left / 3.5mm right.
