WebTe Aratangata, Hira, active 1844-1870s Ngati Toa. Hira was the daughter of Te Aratangata, an elder brother of Te Rauparaha, and Rangiwhainga (Ngati Tama). Her father was a famous warrior chief of the Ngati Toa who was killed with Te Peehi, Te Pokaitara and others at Kaiapoi pa, Christchurch, about 1828. Hira later married Hohaia Te Pokaitara. Web1.
