Before connecting, verify that the locking bar is in the fully open, rearward position (locking bar index pin is fully engaged with rear notch in the socket housing).

WebAug 12, 2010 · The bike started very hard and backfired in the airfilter and the exhaust. After initializing the bike had a very high idle and was not rideable...that were the symptoms when i broke down. The Smartlink programm also told me that i was running a very old version of software on the bike's module and had to update it!! Is it roll on, or full throttle. If it's a fuel problem, the auto tune will fix it after several sessions.

Well my battery was dropping to 9.5- 10 volts. So I put a new one in cleared everything and re initialized and went for a ride, no change.
I had issues with the IAC tuning and it was showing both cylinders running lean. Of course the fuel mileage was crappy and finally the Thundermax quit reading the rear cylinder altogether. I got a new O2 sensor thing that it was the problem but it made no difference.
